What a year it has been for me, illness, a big celebration for my son and a new website. I love my job of making my customers happy with their personalised gifts. A piece of me goes in to each one and I'm lucky as I get fantastic feedback which makes me keep going even when the problems of running a small business become too much.

Princess Charlotte was photographed by her mother in a classic dress and suddenly everyone wants it. She cannot cope with the orders and there is very little material left as the factory no longer makes it.
This has happened a number of times to me over the last 25 years. I buy a few metres of fabric I love and then I run out of it as it turns out to be really popular. I then have to find something else which will please my customers. I have so much fabric as I love sewing and creating. I only put a fraction of my fabrics to appliqué on to my towels, on my website, as most people do not want to be swamped by choice.
